We are looking to hire a Sr. Industrial Estimator for our business unit in Fargo, ND. This role will be responsible for creating competitive bid efforts including estimates beginning at the earliest stages of conceptual design through completed construction documents.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for estimates and proposals including cost analysis, estimate coordination, as well as development and review of trade takeoffs and internal pricing
  • Evaluate subcontract cost estimates and proposals, as well as preparing/reviewing self-perform estimates, ensuring coordination with estimators and assembling final estimate for owner
  • Prepare estimates for all stages of engineering and design from Conceptual through Final Construction documents
  • Ability to estimate Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Piping types of work
  • Review/analyze complex bills of materials. Assessing labor productivity and labor costs, researching vendors and understanding manufacturing and construction costs
  • Perform productivity analysis of cost estimates, comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between projects
  • Ability to lead, coach and review work products of a less seasoned estimators
  • Negotiate with and engage in subcontract solicitation during the bidding process and maintain master subcontractor/vendor lists by trade
  • Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids
  • Maintain Company quality standards with subcontractors and vendors

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years' in the heavy industries or related construction industry performing the similar primary responsibilities listed.
  • Strong leadership and management skills in directing an organization, department, or group.
  • Ability to communicate and handle themselves in various meetings both internally and with potential Clients
  • Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite and estimating database software's.
  • Systematic planner who attends to details with accuracy and focus
