We are currently seeking full-time Construction Inspectors and Lead Inspectors to join our growing Construction Services Group in our Fargo, ND office. SRF's Fargo Office serves clients in North Dakota and western Minnesota that include state DOTs such as NDDOT and MNDOT, Cities, and Counties.

Construction Inspector

Responsibilities:

  • Perform construction inspection for highway/municipal/roadway projects
  • Complete daily diaries and other project documentation
  • Coordination and communication with the Lead Inspector or Project Engineer
  • Insure compliance of Contractors work with plans, specifications and policies of the owner
  • Interact with Contractor and Subcontractor personnel
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Maintain a focus on safety by all personnel working on the project

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience performing construction observation
  • Construction Certifications from OSHA, NDDOT, MnDOT or ability to obtain certifications
  • Valid Driver's License, with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Excellent communication and record keeping skills
  • Ability to travel

Lead Construction Inspector

Responsibilities:

  • Perform construction inspection for highway/municipal/roadway projects
  • Coordination and communication with Project Engineer and Project Manager
  • Responsible for construction inspection and documentation for multiple operations as well as supervising other inspectors
  • Lead a team of inspectors to insure that various construction operations are inspected properly
  • Assist Project Manager or Project Engineer in training new personnel, assigning personnel and completing required paperwork; Pay Quantity Reports, Change Order documentation, Material Test Reports, etc.
  • A thorough understanding of how to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Maintain a focus on safety by all personnel working on the project

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years' of previous highway and bridge construction experience
  • Construction Certifications from OSHA, NDDOT, MnDOT or the ability to obtain certifications
  • Valid Driver's License, with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Excellent communication and record keeping skills
  • Ability to travel
