About the team
The Senior Manager - Global Technology Planning is a key figure in steering operations across Infrastructure, Health, Corporate Payments, Platform, Global Technology, and Information Security sectors within WEX Technology. This individual not only leads a proficient team of Technical Program Managers but also is instrumental in assisting senior leadership with strategic direction and reporting. Central to Technology Planning's mission is to refine the development and execution processes of WEX Technology's products and internal system projects, from inception through delivery.
A crucial aspect of this role is to enhance the organization's capabilities in tracking, reporting, and delivering actionable insights that influence strategic decisions. Reporting directly to the Director of Technology Planning and closely collaborating with Technical Innovation & Strategic Operations and other Wex senior leadership, the Senior Manager is instrumental in ensuring project outcomes are strategically aligned with WEX Technology's goals. This position demands an active role in promoting a culture of innovation, community, and execution excellence, engaging with the senior leadership to facilitate significant enterprise-wide advancements.

Technical Innovation & Strategic Operations is a dynamic, compact team known for tackling complex challenges with agility and an unwavering commitment to quality and results. We are at the forefront of devising strategic solutions, creating a collaborative space with product owners and development teams to further embed and enhance agile methodologies within the WEX Agile Ways of Working.
Strategic Leadership: Lead the formulation and execution of overarching technology planning strategies and reporting, partnering with the Director of Technology Planning to mobilize stakeholders and leadership around the organization's mission and vision.
Community Building and Best Practices: Elevate the project management community of practice by fostering collaboration and sharing of best practices among project managers and critical PMO stakeholders. Champion the adoption of advanced program and project management methodologies, tools, and standards across the organization.
Operational Excellence: Strategically identify, develop, and refine team roles and configurations to meet and exceed objectives. Manage team workloads effectively and act as the primary escalation point for all business and technical matters.
Leadership and Development: Offer senior-level coaching, mentoring, and developmental opportunities to staff, nurturing a resilient and high-performing team that is in harmony with organizational objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership and essential stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and reporting that meet and exceed internal and external expectations.


Minimum Required Qualifications for Consideration:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Technical/Information Science or a related field.
More than 10 years of relevant project management experience within technology sectors, including at least 5 years in a management role managing project managers/scrum masters.
Proven expertise in project and change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
Demonstrated capability in managing budgets, costs, and profitability within complex technology projects.
Extensive experience in implementing enterprise-level planning processes in high-transaction, e-commerce, or financial sectors.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $133,000.00 - $177,000.00
