Job/Internship Description

The Innovation and Development Division (IDD) drives the innovation strategy for the Hubs and Operations, and contributes to the Group's transformation. It is responsible for imagining, developing and incubating new solutions until they are brought to market, particularly when it comes to offers with a high technological content (including digital and IT). IDD gathers more than 3,000 employees from 70 nationalities at 60 sites.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Air Liquide's innovation strategy is based on two objectives: contributing to its operational excellence and creating new sustainable and profitable offers in its traditional businesses and beyond. The Innovation and Development Division (IDD) drives and executes innovation strategy for the Group, fueling its future growth and contributing to its Sustainable Development objectives.

The Communications function supports IDD Americas by promoting its contribution to the Group, building its internal and external visibility with partners and customers, and engaging with its employees and stakeholders. The IDD Americas Communications Intern will have a generalist scope including internal communications, corporate communications, and operational marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research, create and edit communications materials (text, pictures and/or graphics) for a variety of channels and audiences. This includes but is not limited to announcements, local internal news articles, presentations, brochures, websites, social media posts, etc.

  • Provide support for communications projects and events. This includes but is not limited to photoshoots, videos, visuals and signage, Group initiatives, HR campaigns, internal and external events, executive/VIP visits, community outreach, etc.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and departments on providing necessary communications support for identified projects, including but not limited to conceptualizing, writing, editing, and producing customized communications and marketing materials

  • Support communications planning and execution as needed

  • Organize and help implement communications strategies

  • Provide general support as needed to members of the Communications and IDD Americas teams

Required

  • Degree Concentration: Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field

  • English language fluency

  • Demonstrated experience in writing and editing effectively for multiple audiences without AI writing assistance

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Strong listening and reading comprehension skills

  • Motivated by new challenges and learning, "Can do" attitude and approach

  • Strong organizational and planning abilities

  • Experience in project and event support

  • Adaptable and flexible to new situations, resourceful when encountering changing circumstances

  • Comfort with managing deadlines

  • Demonstrates strong process and operational safety behavior at all times

  • Working knowledge of Google/GSuite platform (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Slides, etc.) and/or ability to learn new software and platforms

Preferred

  • Previous experience in communications/marketing and/or a similar role

  • Familiarity with photo editing, graphic design tools and branding

Working Conditions

  • Use of Computer (audio/visual equipment)

  • Sitting for long periods of time

  • Standing for long periods of time

The candidate must have valid unrestricted employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
